The Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Youth Opportunities Fund portal has officially opened and the Trustee Hub is here to help you with your application!

There are 4 streams with different eligibilities:

  • Youth Innovation Test Grant
  • Youth Innovation Scale Grant
  • Family Innovation Test Grant
  • Family Innovation Scale Grant

This opportunity is a special one because your organization can secure multi-year funding to run your programming. Funding can be up to $85,000 per year for a maximum of 3 years.

Groups who have received funding have been able to build their team’s capacity and provide more services for their participants.

The first step in the application process is completing an Expression of Interest (EOI). This form can be found on the OTF website. You will have to answer questions about your organization, its members, and your project and include a budget. EOIs are due September 29th, 5pm EST.

You will know the status of your application 4-6 weeks after submitting your EOI. Successful applicants will have to find an Organizational Mentor; The Trustee Hub is an organizational mentor for several YOF groups so contact us!

OTF offers a lot of different supports to help you with your application including information sessions and one-on-one coaching, which can be found here.

The Trustee Hub will be hosting a grant writing workshop with a focus on how to write about your project so that it aligns with OTF’s funding requirements. Register here!

The Trustee Hub is also offering drop-in sessions where you can ask questions about the application process. Drop-ins happen on ZOOM every Tuesday 2-4 and Wednesday 10-12, you can join by clicking here!

Feel free to reach out to the Trustee Hub for help with your application! Good luck to everyone applying! Check out our Instagram @trustee.hub for more information on our groups currently receiving YOF funding, the type of programs they run, and their tips for applying to YOF.
